We’ve just moved to a new house and have our kitchen redecorated. We wanted to have interesting and durable material for our countertops, so we had already known that we wanted to use granite, but which kind? After searching for some time we lastly decided to use Giallo Ornamental Granite countertops. Here’s our review of this product!
Since the shape of the countertops relies on the skill of the installer, we won’t talk about that here. We are more interested to the quality of the granite. When you first heard about Giallo Ornamental granite, you may think that it’s from Italy, right? Well, it’s not. This product is taken from Southern Brazil, which is also known as the Giallo Santo.
The stone comes with white bedrock with creamy color with soft and small mineral deposits. From a distance you may think that it has a uniform color, but when you get closer you’ll see the details. The one we bought had a warm honey-yellow coloring with black and gray mineral deposits.
The granite is stain resistant and it is extremely easy to clean! Color wise, we glad that we chose this material because the one we chose had a lighter color which is perfect for our small kitchen.
As you know, small kitchen and darker countertops don’t go together. A lighter-colored countertop will give the room a slightly bigger feeling. We combine the countertop with light cabinet colors for openness feeling. But if you have a larger kitchen, then I recommend getting a darker one for dramatic effect!
How about the Giallo Ornamental granite cost? It is safe to say that it’s an affordable one, especially when compared to other granite. The cost of this granite (with 3cm thick slab) is somewhere between $30 and $40 per square foot!
