The NUVOLA – An Inviting and Fluffy Looking Spot to Sit Upon

Why so many designers decided to wrap their work with padding and covers? The reason for this may be various, but one certain thing about upholstered furniture is that it is comfortable to sit on and aesthetically pleasing. Paola Navone has the idea and this Italian designer brought the idea into reality in the shape of the upholstered collection. The NUVOLA, the name given by the designer for the upholstered collection that in English means cloud, consists of a 165-cm armchair and two sofas measuring 220 and 260 cm. The NUVOLA series comes with high armrest and deeps seats, and bringing along the convenience in its soft looking contours.

To bring the convenience, the designer decided to use varied-density polyurethane foam filling upholstered with quilting stuffed with goose down and Polyester Staple Fibre, and used the plywood and solid wood as a frame. The NUVOLA series also comes with versatility through its removable covers, allowing the users to find fresh feeling every time changing the covers. The additional cotton and linens adhered to the frame make the NUVOLA looks like swelling. Just by looking at the shape, we can imagine how this upholstered furniture would make our sitting more enjoyable. So, what do you think?
